 about

Using the classic car as her subject, Roz creates intricately detailed highly colourful original paintings that portray the cars as objects of both extreme beauty and curvaceous femininity. Her lifelong passion for all things petrol driven combines with her outstanding creative talent

to capture the sensuality and mystique of these traditionally masculine machines.

After a successful career in design (including creating bespoke stage clothes for Freddie Mercury and Sigue Sigue Sputnik) Roz became a full time fine artist, initially painting portraits and landscapes but moving on to painting her passion – cars and bikes. She won countless prizes and a personal highlight was when Eric Clapton signed the portrait on a Harley which she painted for London’s Hard Rock Café.

"I love all things vintage, and have had a fascination with Hollywood and the ’50s since I was a child, collecting toy cars instead of dolls when I was tiny. I love the romanticism and indulgence of post-war America. The cars are big, bold and sexy, the clothes designed for women to show off their curves...the shop signs, the films, the music, all that glamour and gloss.”

Each painting is more than a simple likeness of its subject as Roz skillfully draws the viewer in by showing us the world beyond, reflected in each highly polished surface"

The seductive gleam of chrome and steel is reflected in the stylish presentation of these stunning statement pieces; the metallic sheen of the black frame lined with mirrored exterior and interior enhances the effect of light resonating off the canvas.
